O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger. Do not punish me in your hot displeasure.
Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak. O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in pain.
My soul also is in deep pain. But you, O LORD, how long?
Return, O LORD, and rescue my soul. Oh, save me because of your mercy.
For in death no one remembers you. In the grave, who will give you thanks?
I am worn out with my groaning. All night long I make my bed swim; I soak my couch with my tears.
My eye is wasted away because of grief. It grows old because of all my enemies.
Go away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.
The LORD has heard my plea. The LORD will receive my prayer.
Let all my enemies be ashamed and in deep pain. Let them turn back and be put to shame suddenly.
