Keep me safe, O God, for I put my trust in you.
O my soul, you have said to the LORD, "You are my Lord. My goodness does not reach up to you."
It reaches the saints who are in the earth, and the noble ones, in whom is all my delight.
Those who hurry after another god will have many sorrows. I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, and I will not take their names on my lips.
The LORD is the portion I inherit, and my cup. You hold my lot safe.
The measuring lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a fine inheritance.
I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel. My inmost being also teaches me in the night.
I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
So my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices. My body also will rest in hope.
For you will not leave my soul in hell. You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.
You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
