LORD, I call to you: come quickly to me. Listen to my voice when I call to you.
Let my prayer rise before you like incense, and the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth. Keep watch at the door of my lips.
Do not let my heart turn to any evil thing, to do wicked deeds with men who do wrong. Do not let me eat of their fine food.
Let the righteous strike me; it will be a kindness. Let him correct me; it will be fine oil on my head, and my head will not refuse it. For my prayer will still be against their evil deeds.
When their judges are thrown down in rocky places, they will hear my words, for my words are sweet.
Our bones are scattered at the mouth of the grave, as when someone cuts and splits wood on the ground.
But my eyes look to you, O GOD the Lord. In you I trust. Do not leave me without help.
Keep me from the traps they have set for me, and from the snares of those who do wrong.
Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.
