Wisdom has built her house with seven pillars, prepared her feast, sent out her servants, and calls from the heights: let the simple turn in here; come, eat bread and drink wine, leave simplicity and live. Correct a scoffer and he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Folly also calls from her door, inviting the same simple ones, but stolen water is sweet, and those who enter her house do not know her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
