Peace offerings enable fellowship meals where the fat portions belong to God as His food, the blood and fat being permanently prohibited for Israelite consumption. Whether cattle, sheep, or goat, the animal may be male or female but must be without blemish, with prescribed fat portions burned on the altar. This sacrifice uniquely provides food for the offerer and community alongside the priestly portions, celebrating communion with God and neighbor.
