Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity. Take words with you, confess that Assyria cannot save and idols cannot help - for in God the orphan finds mercy. God promises to heal their apostasy, love them freely, and be like the dew to Israel; they shall blossom like the lily and take root like Lebanon's cedars. The wise understand these things - the LORD's ways are right.
