Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me. He said:

"Son of man, Tyrus has spoken against Jerusalem. She said, 'Aha, she is broken, she who was the gate of the peoples. She has turned to me. I shall be filled, now that she is laid waste.'"

"Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I am against you, Tyrus. I will make many nations come up against you, as the sea makes its waves come up."

"They will destroy the walls of Tyrus and break down her towers. I will also scrape her dust off her and make her like the top of a rock."

"She will be a place for spreading nets in the middle of the sea, for I have spoken it, says the Lord GOD. She will become plunder for the nations."

"Her daughters who are out in the field will be killed with the sword. Then they will know that I am the LORD."

"For this is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I will bring against Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses and chariots and horsemen, with companies of soldiers and many people."

"He will kill your daughters in the field with the sword. He will build a fort against you, and pile up a mound against you, and lift up the shield against you."

"He will set his war machines against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers."

"His horses will be so many that their dust will cover you. Your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen, the wheels and the chariots, when he comes in through your gates, as men enter a city whose wall has been broken open."

"With the hoofs of his horses he will trample down all your streets. He will kill your people with the sword, and your strong garrisons will go down to the ground."

"They will take your riches as plunder and your goods as prey. They will break down your walls and destroy your fine houses. They will throw your stones and your timber and your dust into the middle of the water."

"I will stop the noise of your songs. The sound of your harps will be heard no more."

"I will make you like the top of a rock. You will be a place to spread nets on. You will never be built again, for I the LORD have spoken it, says the Lord GOD."

"This is what the Lord GOD says to Tyrus: Will not the islands shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan, when the killing is done in the middle of you?"

"Then all the princes of the sea will come down from their thrones. They will lay aside their robes and take off their embroidered clothes. They will clothe themselves with trembling. They will sit on the ground, and shake every moment, and be amazed at you."

"They will raise a song of sorrow for you and say to you, 'How you are destroyed, you city that seafaring men lived in, the famous city, which was strong in the sea, she and her people, who made all who came there afraid.'"

"Now the islands will tremble on the day of your fall. Yes, the islands that are in the sea will be shaken when you are gone."

"For this is what the Lord GOD says: I will make you a ruined city, like the cities where no one lives. I will bring up the deep over you, and great waters will cover you."

"Then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of long ago. I will make you live in the lowest parts of the earth, in places ruined long ago, with those who go down to the pit, so that no one lives in you. And I will set glory in the land of the living."

"I will make you a terror, and you will be no more. Though you are looked for, you will never be found again, says the Lord GOD."
