"You must not spread a false report. Do not join hands with a wicked person by being a dishonest witness."
You must not follow a crowd to do evil. When you speak in a case at law, do not side with the many and twist justice.
And do not favour a poor man in his case either.
If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey wandering away, you must bring it back to him.
If you see the donkey of someone who hates you lying down under its load, do not leave it there. You must help him with it.
You must not twist justice against your poor in his case.
Keep far away from a false charge. Do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I will not clear the guilty.
You must take no bribe. A bribe makes the wise blind, and twists the words of the righteous.
You must not oppress a stranger. You know the heart of a stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
For six years you shall sow your land, and gather in its crops.
But in the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie still, so that the poor of your people may eat. What they leave, the wild animals shall eat. Do the same with your vineyard and with your olive trees.
For six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest. Then your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your servant woman and the stranger may be refreshed.
Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not speak the names of other gods. Do not let them be heard from your mouth.
Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me.
You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days you shall eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib, for in that month you came out from Egypt. No one shall appear before me empty-handed.
You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, with the firstfruits of your work, of what you have sown in the field. And you shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you have gathered in your work from the field.
Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
You must not offer the blood of my sacrifice with bread made with yeast. And the fat of my sacrifice must not be left until the morning.
You shall bring the best of the firstfruits of your land into the house of the LORD your God. You must not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.
Look, I am sending an Angel ahead of you, to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
Take care before him, and obey his voice. Do not provoke him, for he will not pardon your sins, because my name is in him.
But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to those who oppose you.
For my Angel shall go ahead of you and bring you in to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I will cut them off.
You must not bow down to their gods, or serve them, or do as they do. You shall completely overthrow them and smash their images in pieces.
You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from among you.
Nothing in your land shall lose its young or be barren. I will give you the full number of your days.
I will send my terror ahead of you. I will throw into confusion all the people you come to, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
And I will send hornets ahead of you, and they will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite and the Hittite from in front of you.
I will not drive them out in front of you in one year, or the land would become empty and the wild animals would become too many for you.
Little by little I will drive them out in front of you, until you have grown in number and take the land as your own.
I will fix your borders from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river. For I will hand over the people who live in the land to you, and you shall drive them out in front of you.
You must make no covenant with them or with their gods.
"They shall not live in your land, or they will make you sin against me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a trap to you."
