When scattered among nations, if Israel returns to the Lord with all their heart, He will restore their fortunes, gather them, and circumcise their hearts to love Him. The commandment is not too hard or far away but near, in their mouth and heart to do. Moses sets before them life and death, blessing and curse, urging them to choose life by loving God, obeying His voice, and holding fast to Him.
