Nehemiah rebuilds the walls NEH 6:15
Nehemiah leaves the Persian court, inspects the ruins by night without telling anyone, and then puts the whole city to work, each family on the stretch in front of its own house. The mockery is constant and the threats are real enough that half the men build while half stand guard, and every builder works with a sword at his side. The wall is finished in fifty two days, and even the enemies understand that the work was done with help.

The place

Jerusalem is the holiest city in Judaism and Christianity, central to the biblical narrative. King David captured it and made it his capital, and his son Solomon built the First Temple there. It was the site of Jesus' crucifixion, resurrection, and the birth of the Christian church at Pentecost. The city has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times throughout history.
