Read Psalms Chapter 63

A psalm of David, written when he was in the desert of Judah.

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

1O God, you are my God. Early I will seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My body longs for you, in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

2So I have looked for you in the sanctuary, to see your power and your glory.

3Your loving kindness is better than life, so my lips will praise you.

4So I will bless you as long as I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.

5My soul will be satisfied as with rich and fat food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips.

6I remember you on my bed, and think of you through the watches of the night.

7You have been my help. So in the shadow of your wings I will rejoice.

8My soul holds close behind you. Your right hand holds me up.

9But those who look for my life, to destroy it, will go down into the lower parts of the earth.

10They will fall by the sword. They will be food for foxes.

11But the king will rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will be glad, but the mouth of those who speak lies will be stopped.
