Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up. All day long he fights and crushes me.
My enemies would swallow me up all day long. Many are fighting against me, O Most High.
When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
In God I will praise his word. In God I have put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Every day they twist my words. All their thoughts about me are evil.
They gather together, they hide themselves. They watch my steps, waiting to take my life.
Shall they escape by doing wrong? In your anger cast the peoples down, O God.
You keep count of my wanderings. Put my tears into your bottle. Are they not in your book?
When I cry out to you, then my enemies will turn back. This I know, for God is for me.
In God I will praise his word. In the LORD I will praise his word.
In God I have put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Your vows are upon me, O God. I will give praises to you.
For you have saved my soul from death. Will you not keep my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
