OriginalSimple EnglishSimpleNew Summary

Read Psalms Chapter 46

For the leader of the music, for the sons of Korah. A song in a high setting.

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

1God is our refuge and our strength, a help always near in times of trouble.

2So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is moved, and the mountains are carried into the middle of the sea;

3even if its waters roar and foam, and the mountains shake when it rises. Selah.

4There is a river whose streams make the city of God glad, the holy place where the Most High lives.

5God is in the middle of her; she will not be moved. God will help her, and help her early.

6The nations raged, the kingdoms were shaken. He lifted his voice, and the earth melted.

7The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8Come, look at the works of the LORD, and the ruin he has brought on the earth.

9He makes wars stop to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow and snaps the spear. He burns the chariot in the fire.

10"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be lifted high among the nations, I will be lifted high in the earth."

11The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
