The king will be glad in your strength, O LORD; and in your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!
You have given him what his heart desired, and you have not held back what his lips asked for. Selah.
For you go before him with good blessings: you set a crown of pure gold on his head.
He asked you for life, and you gave it to him, long days for ever and ever.
His glory is great because you saved him: you have laid honour and majesty upon him.
For you have made him most blessed for ever: you have made him very glad with the light of your face.
For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the Most High he will not be shaken.
Your hand will find out all your enemies: your right hand will find out those who hate you.
You will make them like a burning oven in the time of your anger: the LORD will swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire will consume them.
You will destroy their fruit from the earth, and their children from among the sons of men.
For they planned evil against you: they thought up a wicked scheme, but they are not able to carry it out.
So you will make them turn their backs, when you aim your arrows on your bowstrings at their faces.
Be lifted high, LORD, in your own strength: so we will sing and praise your power.
