Praise the LORD. It is good to sing praises to our God. It is pleasant, and praise is fitting.
The LORD builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
He heals those whose hearts are broken, and binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
Great is our Lord, and great in power. His understanding has no limit.
The LORD lifts up the meek. He throws the wicked down to the ground.
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving. Sing praise to our God on the harp.
He covers the sky with clouds. He prepares rain for the earth. He makes grass grow on the mountains.
He gives the animals their food, and feeds the young ravens when they cry.
He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his mercy.
Praise the LORD, Jerusalem. Praise your God, Zion.
For he has made the bars of your gates strong. He has blessed your children within you.
He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
He sends out his command to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
He gives snow like wool. He scatters the frost like ashes.
He throws down his ice like crumbs. Who can stand before his cold?
He sends out his word, and melts them. He makes his wind blow, and the waters flow.
He shows his word to Jacob, his laws and his judgments to Israel.
He has not done this for any other nation. As for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise the LORD.
