Read Psalms Chapter 104

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

Bless the LORD, my soul. LORD my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honour and majesty.

You cover yourself with light as with a robe. You stretch out the heavens like a curtain.

You lay the beams of your rooms in the waters. You make the clouds your chariot. You walk on the wings of the wind.

He makes his angels spirits, and his servants a flaming fire.

He laid the foundations of the earth, so that it should never be moved.

You covered it with the deep as with a robe. The waters stood above the mountains.

At your rebuke they fled. At the sound of your thunder they hurried away.

They go up by the mountains. They go down by the valleys, to the place you made ready for them.

You have set a boundary they may not cross, so that they will not come back to cover the earth.

He sends the springs into the valleys, and they run among the hills.

They give drink to every beast of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.

Beside them the birds of the sky make their home, and sing among the branches.

He waters the hills from his rooms above. The earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works.

He makes the grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to use, so that he may bring food out of the earth;

and wine that makes a man's heart glad, and oil to make his face shine, and bread that strengthens a man's heart.

The trees of the LORD are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon, which he planted.

There the birds make their nests. As for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks for the conies.

He appointed the moon to mark the seasons. The sun knows when to go down.

You make darkness, and it is night. Then all the beasts of the forest creep out.

The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.

The sun rises; they gather together, and lie down in their dens.

Man goes out to his work and to his labour until the evening.

LORD, how many are your works! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.

So is this great, wide sea, where there are creeping things beyond counting, both small and great creatures.

There the ships go. There is that leviathan, which you made to play in it.

All of these wait for you, to give them their food at the right time.

What you give them, they gather up. You open your hand, and they are filled with good things.

You hide your face, and they are troubled. You take away their breath, and they die and return to their dust.

You send out your spirit, and they are created. You make the face of the earth new again.

The glory of the LORD will last for ever. The LORD will rejoice in his works.

He looks on the earth, and it trembles. He touches the hills, and they smoke.

I will sing to the LORD as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

My thoughts about him will be sweet. I will be glad in the LORD.

Let sinners be swept away from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul. Praise the LORD.
