So then, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long to see, you are my joy and my crown. Stand firm in the Lord, my dear friends.
I beg Euodias, and I beg Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord.
And I ask you also, true yokefellow, help these women. They worked hard with me in the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice.
Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in everything, by prayer and pleading, with thanks, let God know what you ask for.
And the peace of God, which is greater than all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are well spoken of: if there is any virtue, and if there is anything worth praise, think about these things.
The things you have learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me: do them. And the God of peace will be with you.
I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that now at last your care for me has grown fresh again. You did care, but you had no chance to show it.
I do not say this because I am in need. I have learned to be content in whatever state I am.
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to have plenty. Everywhere and in everything I have learned the secret of being full and being hungry, of having plenty and being in need.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
All the same, you did well to share with me in my trouble.
You Philippians know too that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in giving and receiving, only you.
Even in Thessalonica you sent help for my needs once and again.
It is not that I want the gift. What I want is the fruit that adds to your account.
But I have everything I need, and more. I am full, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the things you sent: a sweet-smelling offering, a sacrifice that God accepts and is pleased with.
And my God will supply everything you need, out of his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Now to God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you.
All the saints greet you, especially those who belong to Caesar's household.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. «Written to the Philippians from Rome, by Epaphroditus.»
