Philippians 3 - Summary

Paul warns against the 'concision' (circumcision party), cataloging his impressive Jewish credentials (circumcised the eighth day, of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, a Pharisee, blameless under law) which he now counts as dung for the excellency of knowing Christ and being found in Him with righteousness through faith. He presses toward the prize of the upward call, urges others to imitate him, contrasts those whose god is their belly and glory is their shame with citizens of heaven awaiting Christ who will transform their lowly bodies.
