Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
"I know that you can do everything, and that no plan of yours can be held back."
You asked, 'Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?' So I spoke of what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
You said, 'Listen, and I will speak. I will question you, and you tell me.'
I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.
"So I hate myself, and repent in dust and ashes."
After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My anger burns against you and against your two friends. For you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has."
"So now take seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, for I will accept him. Then I will not deal with you as your folly deserves, since you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has."
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD had commanded them. And the LORD accepted Job.
And the LORD turned back the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. The LORD also gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Then all his brothers and all his sisters came to him, and all who had known him before. They ate bread with him in his house. They grieved with him and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought on him. Each one also gave him a piece of money, and each one a gold earring.
So the LORD blessed the last part of Job's life more than the beginning. For he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.
He also had seven sons and three daughters.
He named the first one Jemima, and the second Kezia, and the third Kerenhappuch.
In all the land no women were found as beautiful as the daughters of Job. And their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.
After this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and he saw his sons, and his sons' sons, four generations.
So Job died, being old and full of days.
