The word of the LORD came to me again, saying,
"You also, son of man, this is what the Lord GOD says to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land."
"Now the end has come upon you. I will send my anger against you. I will judge you according to your ways, and I will pay you back for all your hateful deeds."
"My eye will not spare you, and I will not pity you. I will pay you back for your ways, and your hateful deeds will be in the midst of you. Then you will know that I am the LORD."
"This is what the Lord GOD says: An evil, one evil alone - look, it is coming."
"An end has come, the end has come. It is awake and watching for you. Look, it has come."
"The morning has come to you, you who live in the land. The time has come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains."
"Now I will soon pour out my fury on you, and spend my anger against you. I will judge you according to your ways, and pay you back for all your hateful deeds."
"My eye will not spare, and I will not pity. I will pay you back according to your ways and your hateful deeds that are in the midst of you. Then you will know that I am the LORD who strikes."
"Look at the day. Look, it has come. The morning has gone out. The rod has blossomed, pride has budded."
"Violence has grown into a rod of wickedness. None of them will remain, none of their crowd, nor any of what is theirs. There will be no wailing for them."
"The time has come, the day draws near. Let the buyer not be glad, and let the seller not mourn, for wrath is upon all their crowd."
"The seller will not return to what he has sold, even if they are still alive. For the vision is about all their crowd, and it will not be taken back. No one will strengthen himself by the sin of his life."
"They have blown the trumpet to make everything ready, but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is upon all their crowd."
"The sword is outside, and plague and famine are inside. Whoever is in the field will die by the sword, and whoever is in the city, famine and plague will devour him."
"But those of them who escape will escape, and they will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, each one for his sin."
"All hands will hang weak, and all knees will be as weak as water."
"They will also dress themselves in sackcloth, and horror will cover them. Shame will be on every face, and every head will be shaved bare."
"They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be like something unclean. Their silver and their gold will not be able to save them in the day of the wrath of the LORD. It will not satisfy their souls or fill their stomachs, because it was what made them stumble into sin."
"As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty. But they made in it the images of their hateful deeds and of their disgusting things. So I have put it far away from them."
"I will give it into the hands of strangers as plunder, and to the wicked of the earth as spoil, and they will make it unclean."
"I will also turn my face away from them, and they will make my secret place unclean. Robbers will enter it and defile it."
"Make a chain, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence."
"So I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will take over their houses. I will also put an end to the pride of the strong, and their holy places will be defiled."
"Destruction is coming. They will look for peace, and there will be none."
"Disaster will come upon disaster, and rumour upon rumour. Then they will seek a vision from the prophet, but the law will perish from the priest, and wise advice from the elders."
"The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with despair, and the hands of the people of the land will shake with fear. I will do to them as their ways deserve, and I will judge them by their own judgments. Then they will know that I am the LORD."
