This is what the Lord GOD says: "The gate of the inner court that faces east must be shut on the six working days. But on the sabbath it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened."
The prince shall come in from outside through the porch of that gate, and he shall stand by the post of the gate. The priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate. Then he shall go out. But the gate shall not be shut until the evening.
In the same way the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD on the sabbaths and at the new moons.
The burnt offering that the prince shall offer to the LORD on the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish.
The food offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs as much as he is able to give, with a hin of oil to an ephah.
On the day of the new moon it shall be a young bull without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram. They shall be without blemish.
He shall prepare a food offering: an ephah for a bull, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs as much as he can manage, with a hin of oil to an ephah.
When the prince comes in, he shall go in through the porch of that gate, and he shall go out the same way.
But when the people of the land come before the LORD at the appointed feasts, the one who comes in by the north gate to worship shall go out by the south gate. The one who comes in by the south gate shall go out by the north gate. No one shall go back out by the gate he came in by, but shall go out straight ahead.
The prince shall be among them. When they go in, he shall go in, and when they go out, he shall go out.
At the feasts and the appointed times the food offering shall be an ephah to a bull, and an ephah to a ram, and for the lambs as much as he is able to give, with a hin of oil to an ephah.
Now when the prince prepares a freewill burnt offering, or peace offerings given freely to the LORD, the gate that faces east shall be opened for him. He shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and after he has gone out the gate shall be shut.
You shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD every day: a lamb of the first year without blemish. You shall prepare it every morning.
And every morning you shall prepare a food offering with it: the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of a hin of oil to mix with the fine flour. This is a food offering to the LORD, to be given always, by a lasting rule.
"So they shall prepare the lamb, the food offering and the oil every morning, as a burnt offering that never stops."
This is what the Lord GOD says: "If the prince gives a gift to any of his sons, it shall belong to his sons. It shall be their property by inheritance."
But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be the servant's until the year of liberty. After that it shall come back to the prince. His inheritance shall belong to his sons; it is theirs.
"The prince shall not take any of the people's inheritance by crushing them and forcing them out of what they own. He shall give his sons their inheritance out of his own property, so that none of my people is driven away from what belongs to him."
Then he brought me through the entrance at the side of the gate, into the holy rooms of the priests, which faced north. And look, there was a place at the far west end of them.
He said to me, "This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the food offering, so that they do not carry them out into the outer court and make the people holy."
Then he brought me out into the outer court and led me past the four corners of the court. And look, in every corner of the court there was a court.
In the four corners of the court there were enclosed courts, forty cubits long and thirty wide. These four corner courts were all the same size.
There was a row of building all around inside them, around all four, and boiling places were made under the rows all around.
Then he said to me, "These are the places for boiling, where those who serve in the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people."
