Read Ezekiel Chapter 10

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

Then I looked, and in the sky above the heads of the cherubim there appeared something like a sapphire stone. It looked like the shape of a throne above them.

He spoke to the man dressed in linen and said, "Go in between the wheels, under the cherub. Fill your hands with burning coals from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city." And he went in while I watched.

Now the cherubim were standing on the right side of the house when the man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court.

Then the glory of the LORD rose up from the cherub and stood over the doorway of the house. The house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.

The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court. It was like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

He had given the man dressed in linen this command: "Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubim." So the man went in and stood beside a wheel.

Then one cherub reached out his hand from among the cherubim to the fire that was between them. He took some of it and put it into the hands of the man dressed in linen, who took it and went out.

Under the wings of the cherubim there appeared the shape of a man's hand.

When I looked, I saw four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub. The wheels looked like the colour of a beryl stone.

As for how they looked, all four were alike, as if a wheel were inside another wheel.

When they moved, they went in any of their four directions. They did not turn as they went, but went wherever the head was facing. They did not turn as they went.

Their whole body, their backs, their hands, their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all round, the wheels that all four of them had.

As for the wheels, I heard them called out to: "O wheel."

Each one had four faces. The first face was the face of a cherub, the second the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

And the cherubim rose up. This was the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar.

When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved beside them. And when the cherubim lifted their wings to rise from the earth, those same wheels did not turn away from beside them.

When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still. When they rose up, the wheels rose with them, for the spirit of the living creature was in them.

Then the glory of the LORD left the doorway of the house and stood over the cherubim.

While I watched, the cherubim lifted their wings and rose up from the earth. As they went out, the wheels went beside them. They stopped at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

This was the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar, and I knew that they were cherubim.

Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings. Under their wings was the shape of a man's hands.

Their faces looked just like the faces I saw by the river Chebar, both how they looked and the creatures themselves. Each one went straight forward.
