1 Timothy 6 - Summary

Original Summary

Read 1 Timothy Chapter 6 Summary

Paul addresses servants under the yoke to honor their masters (especially believing masters who benefit from their service), and warns against teachers of different doctrine who are proud, knowing nothing, sick about controversies that produce strife, supposing godliness is gain. He contrasts godliness with contentment as great gain (we brought nothing in and can take nothing out) with the love of money as the root of all evil, and charges Timothy to flee these things, pursue righteousness, fight the good fight, and guard the deposit until Christ's appearing, concluding with a charge to the rich and final benediction.
