GibeonGibeon was a Canaanite city whose inhabitants tricked Joshua into making a peace treaty. God made the sun stand still here during Joshua's battle. Solomon offered sacrifices at the great high place in Gibeon, where God appeared to him in a dream offering him anything he asked.
GileadGilead was a mountainous region east of the Jordan River, known for its healing balm and rich pastures. It was home to the prophet Elijah and the judge Jephthah. Jacob and Laban made their covenant at a cairn of stones they named Galeed (Gilead). The region was allocated to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh.
GilgalGilgal was the first camp of the Israelites after crossing the Jordan River. Joshua set up twelve stones here as a memorial. The Israelites were circumcised here and celebrated their first Passover in Canaan. Samuel judged Israel at Gilgal, and Saul was confirmed as king here.
GolgothaGolgotha, meaning "Place of the Skull," is the hill outside Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified. Also called Calvary, it was the site of the most significant event in Christian history - the death of Jesus Christ for the sins of humanity. Today, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre marks the traditional site where Jesus was crucified and buried.

Heavenly SanctuaryThe Heavenly Sanctuary is the true tabernacle in heaven where Christ serves as our High Priest, described primarily in Hebrews. The earthly tabernacle built by Moses was merely a copy and shadow of this heavenly reality. Here Christ entered once for all with His own blood, securing eternal redemption. He continually intercedes for believers before the Father's throne, making the heavenly sanctuary the place of our ongoing access to God's grace.

Holy of HoliesThe Holy of Holies was the innermost and most sacred chamber of the Tabernacle and later the Temple in Jerusalem. Separated by a thick veil, it contained the Ark of the Covenant and represented the dwelling place of God's presence among His people. Only the High Priest could enter, and only once a year on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). When Jesus died on the cross, this veil was torn from top to bottom, symbolizing that access to God was now open to all through Christ.
