OriginalSimple EnglishSimpleNew Summary

Read Psalms Chapter 91

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

The one who lives in the secret place of the Most High will rest under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress. He is my God, and I will trust in him."

Surely he will save you from the trap of the bird catcher, and from the deadly plague.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will trust. His truth will be your shield and your armour.

You will not be afraid of the terror at night, or of the arrow that flies by day,

or of the plague that walks in the darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.

A thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

You will only look with your eyes and see the wicked repaid.

You have made the LORD your home, the Most High, who is my refuge.

No evil will come to you, and no plague will come near your house.

For he will command his angels to watch over you, to keep you in all your ways.

They will lift you up in their hands, so that you do not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread on the lion and the adder. You will trample the young lion and the dragon under your feet.

"Because he has set his love on me, I will rescue him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name."

"He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and honour him."

"I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation."
