I will praise you, O LORD, with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvellous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
When my enemies are turned back, they will fall and perish before you.
For you have upheld my right and my cause. You sat on the throne, judging rightly.
You have rebuked the nations, you have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
O enemy, the ruins are finished for ever. You have destroyed cities, and even the memory of them has perished.
But the LORD will remain for ever. He has set up his throne for judgment.
He will judge the world in righteousness. He will give judgment to the peoples with fairness.
The LORD will also be a refuge for those who are crushed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not abandoned those who seek you.
Sing praises to the LORD, who lives in Zion. Tell among the peoples the things he has done.
When he asks who has shed blood, he remembers them. He does not forget the cry of the humble.
Have mercy on me, O LORD. See the trouble I suffer from those who hate me, you who lift me up from the gates of death,
so that I may tell all your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in your salvation.
The nations have sunk down into the pit that they made. Their own foot is caught in the net they hid.
The LORD is known by the judgment he carries out. The wicked is trapped by the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
The wicked will be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
For the needy will not always be forgotten. The hope of the poor will not perish for ever.
Arise, O LORD. Do not let man win. Let the nations be judged before you.
Put them in fear, O LORD, so that the nations may know they are only men. Selah.
