Read Psalms Chapter 32

A psalm of David, for instruction and reflection.

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

1Blessed is the one whose wrongdoing is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3When I kept silent, my bones wore away, while I groaned all day long.

4For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My moisture was turned into the dryness of summer. Selah.

5I admitted my sin to you, and I did not hide my wrongdoing. I said, "I will confess my sins to the LORD." And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.

6So let everyone who is godly pray to you at a time when you may be found. Surely when great waters flood, they will not reach him.

7You are my hiding place. You will keep me safe from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.

8I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go. I will guide you with my eye.

9Do not be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding. Their mouths must be held with bit and bridle, or they will not come near you.

10The wicked will have many sorrows, but mercy will surround the one who trusts in the LORD.

11Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones. Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.
