Read Psalms Chapter 25

A psalm of David.

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul.

O my God, I trust in you. Do not let me be put to shame. Do not let my enemies triumph over me.

Let no one who waits for you be put to shame. Let those be ashamed who break your law without cause.

Show me your ways, O LORD. Teach me your paths.

Lead me in your truth, and teach me. For you are the God who saves me. I wait for you all day long.

Remember, O LORD, your tender mercies and your steady love. They have been there from long ago.

Do not remember the sins of my youth, or the wrongs I have done. In your mercy remember me, because you are good, O LORD.

The LORD is good and true. So he teaches sinners the way.

He guides the humble in what is right. He teaches the humble his way.

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth for those who keep his covenant and his commands.

For your name's sake, O LORD, pardon my sin, for it is great.

Who is the man that fears the LORD? God will teach him the way that he should choose.

He himself will live at ease, and his children will inherit the earth.

The secret of the LORD is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant.

My eyes are always turned to the LORD, for he will pull my feet out of the net.

Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am alone and in pain.

The troubles of my heart have grown large. Bring me out of my distress.

Look on my suffering and my pain, and forgive all my sins.

Look at my enemies, for they are many. They hate me with a cruel hatred.

Keep my soul, and rescue me. Do not let me be put to shame, for I put my trust in you.

Let honesty and right living keep me safe, for I wait for you.

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
