Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who takes great delight in his commandments.
His children will be mighty on the earth. The family of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness lasts for ever.
For the upright a light rises in the darkness. He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
A good man shows favour, and lends. He will guide his affairs with good judgement.
Surely he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered for ever.
He will not be afraid of bad news. His heart is steady, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is firm, and he will not be afraid, until he sees what he wants done to his enemies.
He has scattered gifts, he has given to the poor. His righteousness lasts for ever. His horn will be lifted high with honour.
The wicked will see it, and be grieved. He will grind his teeth, and melt away. What the wicked long for will come to nothing.
