Read Job Chapter 32

Up and down arrows move from one verse to the next.

So these three men stopped answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became angry. He was angry with Job, because Job made himself right instead of God.

He was angry with Job's three friends too, because they had found no answer, and yet they had condemned Job.

Now Elihu had waited until Job had spoken, because the others were older than he was.

When Elihu saw that these three men had no answer in their mouths, he became angry.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke and said, "I am young, and you are very old. That is why I was afraid, and did not dare to tell you what I think."

I said, 'Days should speak, and many years should teach wisdom.'

But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.

Great men are not always wise, and the aged do not always understand what is right.

So I say, listen to me. I too will tell you what I think.

Look, I waited for your words. I listened to your reasons, while you searched for what to say.

Yes, I paid attention to you. And look, not one of you proved Job wrong, or answered his words.

Do not say, 'We have found wisdom. God pushes him down, not man.'

Now he has not aimed his words at me, and I will not answer him with your speeches.

They were dismayed. They answered no more. They stopped speaking.

I waited, for they did not speak, but stood still and answered no more.

So I said, "I will give my answer too. I also will tell what I think."

For I am full of words. The spirit within me presses me hard.

Look, my belly is like wine that has no opening. It is ready to burst like new wineskins.

I will speak, so that I may find relief. I will open my lips and answer.

Please, let me not show favour to anyone, and let me not give flattering titles to any man.

"For I do not know how to give flattering titles. If I did, my Maker would soon take me away."
