Then Bildad the Shuhite answered:
"How long will it be before you put an end to words? Understand, and then we will speak."
"Why are we counted as animals, and thought of as filthy in your sight?"
"He tears himself in his anger. Shall the earth be left empty for you? Shall the rock be moved out of its place?"
"Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine."
"The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp shall be put out with him."
"The steps of his strength shall be made narrow, and his own plan shall throw him down."
"For his own feet lead him into a net, and he walks over a hidden trap."
"The trap shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall win against him."
"The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the path."
"Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet."
"His strength shall be worn away by hunger, and destruction shall be ready at his side."
"It shall eat up the strength of his skin. The firstborn of death shall eat up his strength."
"What he trusted in shall be torn out of his tent, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors."
"It shall live in his tent, because it is none of his. Brimstone shall be scattered over his home."
"His roots shall be dried up below, and above, his branch shall be cut off."
"The memory of him shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street."
"He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world."
"He shall have neither son nor grandson among his people, and no one left in the places where he lived."
"Those who come after him shall be astonished at his day, as those who went before were filled with fear."
"Surely such are the homes of the wicked, and this is the place of the one who does not know God."
