Ephesians 3 - Summary

Original Summary

Read Ephesians Chapter 3 Summary

Paul expounds his stewardship of the mystery hidden from ages but now revealed: that Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ through the gospel. He prays for their inner strengthening through the Spirit, for Christ to dwell in their hearts through faith, that they may comprehend with all saints the breadth, length, depth, and height of Christ's surpassing love, and be filled with all the fullness of God, concluding with a doxology to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think.

No Personal Names or Problems

Unlike Paul's other letters, Ephesians mentions no specific people by name (except Tychicus the messenger) and addresses no particular problems. This suggests it may have been a circular letter meant for multiple churches in Asia Minor.
