Asaph

Asaph was a Levite appointed by David as one of the chief musicians in the tabernacle worship. He was a skilled singer and cymbal player. Twelve psalms (Psalms 50, 73-83) are attributed to him or his descendants. His psalms often wrestle with questions of justice.
