Biblical Significance of Valley of Elah
The Valley of Elah ('valley of the terebinth') is where David fought and killed Goliath. The Philistines camped on one hill, Israel on another, with the valley between them. For forty days, Goliath's challenge paralyzed Israel - until a young shepherd arrived with faith in God. The five smooth stones from the valley's brook became instruments of divine victory.
