Q: Why did Manoah fear they would die?

After the angel ascended in the flame, Manoah realized they had seen God (the angel of the Lord). Old Testament people believed seeing God meant death (Exodus 33:20). His wife wisely reasoned that God wouldn't have accepted their offering or promised a son if He intended to kill them.
