Leah was the older daughter of Laban and the first wife of Jacob, given to him through Laban's deception. Though unloved compared to her sister Rachel, God blessed her with many children, including Judah, from whose line came Jesus Christ. She is buried in the Cave of Machpelah with the patriarchs.

God Sees the Unloved

When God saw Leah was unloved, He opened her womb. Through her 'unloved' line came Judah—and ultimately Jesus. God often works through those the world overlooks. Being unloved by people doesn't mean being unloved by God.
