Biblical Significance of Land of Uz
Uz, Job's homeland, is mentioned only a few times in Scripture. Its exact location is debated, with possibilities including Edom, northern Arabia, or the area east of the Jordan. Job is described as the greatest man in the East, suggesting Uz was outside Israel's borders. The location's obscurity emphasizes the universal nature of Job's story: the question of suffering transcends any particular culture or time.
