Q: Why did God accept Abel's offering but not Cain's?

The text emphasizes that Abel brought 'the firstborn' and 'fat portions'—his best. Cain simply brought 'some of the fruits.' More importantly, Hebrews says Abel offered 'by faith.' The difference was in their hearts, not just their offerings. God saw Cain's heart was not right.
